The vow of simplicity calls us to seek enough while avoiding the dangers of too little and too much. The extraordinary vows of chastity, poverty (simplicity) and obedience are often referred to as the religious vows or evangelical counsels (CCC 925-927), which are taken by men and women who consecrates their life to God or in a process called profession. Seemingly, all are called to consecrate one’s life to our Father to live a life of holiness, regardless of a rite or ceremony. These vows should be roots of our personal commitment to a relationship with the Lord.
